Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and other facility spaces to ensure a sanitary, safe, and pleasant living environment. This position supports the health and well-being of residents by providing high-quality housekeeping services with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean resident apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and high-touch areas.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Make beds and change linens as scheduled or needed.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, dining rooms, lounges, offices, and other common areas.
- Restock housekeeping supplies and report inventory needs.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and OSHA guidelines.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to facility policies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or resident concerns to the appropriate department.
- Treat residents, families, and coworkers with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
