Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on a full-time weekend shift schedule. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of various industrial equipment used in plastics production and machining processes. - Operate and monitor machinery such as plastics blow molding machines, injection molding presses, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and robotic systems to produce high-quality products.
- Perform setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to verify product specifications.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control and troubleshooting.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues or malfunctions with industrial equipment, applying engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Use hand tools and measurement tools for assembly, adjustments, and repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, measurements, and quality checks.
- Assist in materials handling, inventory management, and warehouse organization to support continuous production flow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, or similar plastics production processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment such as CNC machines, press brakes, robotic systems, and CNC lathes.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred.
- Experience with quality inspection methods and the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments and machinery operation.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, machining processes, assembly work, and materials handling.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for efficient materials management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
