Aerotek is hiring Palletizers in Newark, DE. This is a contract to hire position. Candidates must be open to working shifts that rotate between days and nights. Occasional weekend work is also required. Ample OT opportunity! Job Description The Palletizer supports daily manufacturing operations by preparing, packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished products in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent adherence to safety standards, and the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift while maintaining high quality and productivity. Responsibilities

  • Wrap finished product rolls in accordance with established company quality standards.
  • Affix accurate and legible product labels to completed rolls to ensure correct identification.
  • Palletize finished rolls in a safe, stable, and organized manner for storage and shipment.
  • Apply stretch wrap to completed pallets to secure products for transport and warehousing.
  • Inspect products for quality, identifying and reporting any defects, damage, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Assist with general production duties, including working on production lines and assembly tasks as assigned.
  • Support warehouse activities such as material handling, staging, and movement of goods as needed.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift when certified and authorized, including moving pallets and materials safely (preferred but not required).
  • Participate in training and cross-training to learn new machines, processes, and production areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and safety concerns.
  • Adhere to attendance expectations and reliably work rotating 12-hour shifts as scheduled.
  • Handle and move materials in accordance with company safety guidelines, including lifting, carrying, and positioning products.
  • Perform basic machine operation tasks and support compounding and manufacturing processes as directed.

Essential Skills

  • Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience is preferred, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly after training.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately and consistently.
  • Good attendance record and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Capability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift in line with safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic, including punctuality and dependability.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods in a production environment.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting with production lines and machinery.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required, with willingness to learn sit-down forklift operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with forklift operation, including sit-down forklifts, is a plus.
  • Experience in general production, assembly line work, or compounding is beneficial.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing processes and machine operation enhances success in this role.
  • Ability to learn new equipment and processes quickly through on-the-job training and cross-training.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility that is temperature-controlled and maintained to a very clean standard. Employees work around production lines, machinery, and material handling equipment, including forklifts, in a fast-paced environment. The position requires working rotating 12-hour shifts, standing and walking for most of the day, and performing tasks that involve bending, reaching, lifting, and moving materials in accordance with safety guidelines. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to standard operating procedures, providing a structured and professional work setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
