Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice - Weekend/On-Call

<strong>Registered Nurse (RN)<br><br></strong><strong>Full-Time on Call | Fri. - Sun.<br><br></strong>Come join our family-owned agency. Absolute Hospice, Inc., provides quality and passionate care to patients within the comfort and privacy of their home or place of residence.<br><br>The Hospice RN establishes a professional and caring relationship with our patients and families, support staff, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, facilities, and other healthcare professionals by providing hands-on care, on-going clinical management, and education regarding hospice care.<br><br>As a Hospice RN, you will educate patients and their caregivers on their conditions and the steps needed to ensure proper recovery.<br><br><strong>This is an On-call position<br><br></strong><strong>Friday 4:00 PM - Sunday 8:00 AM<br><br></strong><strong>Covering the Stark and Summit County areas<br><br></strong><strong>This is a salary position. <br><br></strong>Additional responsibilities of our Hospice RN include:<br><br><ul><li>Making initial nursing evaluation visit</li><li>Continually evaluating the patient's needs</li><li>Initiating, coordinating, and revising the treatment plan</li><li>Rendering nursing care and performing treatments, as ordered by the physician</li><li>Participating in the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement process</li><li>Preparing accurate, orderly, and timely reports and documentation</li><li>Adhering to all practice standards as they apply to patient care<br><br><br></li></ul>Requirements:<br><br><ul><li>Caring, patient, and flexible teacher with excellent communication and time management abilities</li><li>Possess independent problem-solving abilities, excellent clinical assessment skills</li><li>Ability to lift/transfer patients to and from wheelchairs, if necessary</li><li>Associate of Science degree in Nursing</li><li>Valid Ohio RN license</li><li>Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including hospice or home health experience preferred</li><li>Valid driver's license and one-year clean driving record</li><li>Excellent writing, communication, and charting skills</li></ul>
