Weekend Security Guard

Job Summary: As a Weekend Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and security by following established post orders and cultivating positive relationships with customers and local authorities. Your vigilance and attention to detail will help maintain a safe environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Basic Functions:

• Control entrances and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Conduct patrols of buildings and perimeters.
• Escort materials and personnel as needed.
• Inspect security measures and fire safety protocols.
• Handle special assignments as required.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time and report to your post in full uniform.
• Maintain a professional appearance and greet all customers, visitors, and employees courteously.
• Stay updated on any changes to post orders and general information provided by the client and AFS.
• Either patrol the property or maintain a fixed post position, being attentive to report any suspicious activity or incidents.
• Continuously monitor cameras and equipment as instructed.
• Be knowledgeable about emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to effectively respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Complete daily activity reports, log book entries, incident reports, and relevant documentation.
• Offer suggestions to management for improving safety and loss prevention as identified during your duties.
• Understand life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and ensure their proper functioning.
• Ensure compliance with training and guidelines as set by AFS and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate daily with the Security Supervisor on new security issues or necessary changes.
